Shambhala Village

Shambhala Village opened its doors in 2014 on Soho Road in Birmingham. The restaurant comes as a result of a vacant old furniture store and an idea to provide Birmingham a proper vegetarian restaurant, something it has been lacking.



For 9 months we spent countless days and nights transforming the old shop into a warm, colourful expression. The vision was to establish a family run restaurant which was relaxed and fun whilst serving exceptionally tasty, vegetarian food. As a vegetarian family we struggled to find this in Birmingham, somewhere which catered to all generations and could satisfy different taste buds.



We are no stranger to the catering industry, in 1990 we set up a vegetarian catering business which travelled all over the UK, providing delicious vegetarian food to thousands of festival goers. We quickly became very popular and many festival organisers wanted us at their music festivals. For the past 20 years we have been regulars at some of the UK's largest festivals such as Glastonbury and Reading. After many years of travelling we have finally taken our permanent residence at Shambhala Village.



As with anything, we have taken inspiration from our experiences and travels. We have brought together different styles of cooking and cuisines in an attempt to bring together different generations of food lovers.
